Corbin Keep, originally from Seattle, Washington, is a unique and gifted cellist, and a multifarious musician. A rich and diverse musical background began at age eight with guitar, followed by his introduction to the cello when he was twelve, being the only thing that resembled a guitar in the school orchestra. With a career spanning over three decades, Corbin's passion for the acoustic cello has lead him to expand and broaden the accepted “norms” of the instrument. Known as “the virtuoso's virtuoso..... you can expect to be in awe of his technical mastery and innovative techniques”.
Corbin joins forces with Mel Watson. Born in England and raised in Australia, Mel now resides in Seattle, Washington where she spends most of her time in her studio recording and experimenting with new ideas and running 100th Monkey Records. Mel began pursuing a musical career at 16 years of age. Most well know for her work in The Australian Band, Fruit, Mel has received 19 Australian Music Awards for creative achievements including 9 awards for 'Most Outstanding Instrumentalist'. Primarily a horn player, Mel plays many instruments, including guitar, saxophone, flute and percussion to name a few, but her preferred instrument is her 4-octave voice which she views as an instrument. Mel has recorded on over 16 independent releases including four solo projects.
Together Corbin & Mel create music that is complex and diverse, moving through the pallets of the muses like a hot knife through butter, creating a new environment with each song and taking their audience on journeys to the heart. Individually they are whole, together they are one. Corbin & Mel are an inspirational duo with a sound that will move you to experience the extreme of the extraordinary.

"Mel Watson was booked into the Showroom as a 'solo...in concert'
act when she showed up with that wild cellist Corbin Keep in tow
and informed us this was going to be an extremely fun performance.
Well, when you take two people who already are quite able to reshape
your preconceptions of vocal and instrumental prowess and then let them
loose on the same stage to 'play', wow double wow… ....youch....
way too cool...magical yes ...an extremely fun performance..."
